Construction Updates

 

Monday, August 1, 2011 Construction Update

During the last week, construction activities were observed at the new WTP building, the Well Bldg,
and at the new Water Tower.

 

At the new WTP, the contractor worked on interior painting of the chemical feed lines, the generator floor, and the Future UF walls.   The new WTP plant continued to be operated and chemical feed adjustments made to optimize the treatment process.  On the site, the Contractor continued site preparation and began to place topsoil.


At the Well Bldg site, crews began to demolish and clean up the old WTP.  The cleanup activity will include the removal of materials that require special handling and disposal.  This activity will continue for the next few weeks


At the new Water Tower, the tower painting crews continued cleaning the interior of the new tower.  It is anticipated that the Tower will be painted by late-August.
