Geodetic Surveys
Bolton & Menk, Inc. has been densifying control monumentation for public and private clients for decades. This work has ranged from the extension of horizontal and vertical project control for municipal reconstruction projects to county wide horizontal HARN densification projects to Second Order, Class 1 Leveling Projects for MnDOT. Additional similar projects include photo control surveys and LIDAR verification surveys.
All of our survey equipment is manufactured by Trimble Navigation LTD. Trimble equipment is widely regarded as the most precise and state of the art surveying equipment available today. This equipment ranges from precise digital DiNi 12 levels and Invar rods to dual frequency GPS receivers and fixed height tripods. Traditional optical robotic total stations, such as the S6 and 5600 are also used as the situation requires. Generally the optical robotic total stations are used for the extension of local project control after other equipment has been used to densify existing published control points.
