TH 25 ARRA Reconstruction Project

Project Summary
The improvements to the intersection at Territorial Street (CSAH 10)/ Trunk Highway 25 (TH 25) and TH 25/ State Street has been in the works for several years by the City of Watertown in hopes to try to improve the efficiency and safety of the intersections. The City applied for funding through the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act (ARRA) and received enough funding to construct the project. The project is anticipated to begin in early May, 2010 and to be substantially complete by July 1, 2010.
The project includes the reconstruction of TH 25 from White Street to State Street with the addition of right and left turn lanes at Territorial Street and a continuous left turn lane between Territorial Street and State Street,
the reconstruction and restriping of Territorial Street (CSAH 10) to accommodate a left and right turn lane at TH 25, and the widening of CSAH 10 from State Street to Bickford Street. TH 25 will be constructed as an urban roadway section and the project will also include sidewalk or trail from White Street to Bickford Street, storm sewer, retaining walls, and minor modifications to existing sanitary sewer and watermain. Regional TH 25 traffic will be detoured around the City and local traffic will be detoured on local City roads (See links for detour maps).
The CSAH 20 Reconstruction project will be starting in early June and the two projects construction schedules will overlap for approximately one month. (See links for CSAH 20 information).
