Project Summary

The City of Waconia, Carver County and the State of Minnesota have joined together to construct the second phase of the three phase effort to reconstruct Trunk Highway (T.H.) 284 in the City of Waconia. The project includes the reconstruction of T.H. 284 from Sparrow Road to County Road (C.R.) 10 and includes the construction of a roundabout at the intersection of T.H. 284 and C.R. 10. In addition, a trail will be constructed along T.H. 284 to connect Sparrow to C.R. 10 that will improve safety, pedestrian mobility, and enhances access to City parks in the area.

Project elements were added to this project to improve the community appeal of the roadway segment. These elements include: decorative street lighting, landscaping, decorative retaining walls, curb and gutter and other features intended to enhance the corridor and maintain the character of the City.
