TH 282 – Street & Utility Reconstruction
Detour and Alternate Access Routes
TH 282 (also known as Second Street) will be closed from Mertens Street to TH 21 and construction will begin on April 1, 2009. The red line indicates the portion of roadway that will be closed.
The green line indicates the designated detour route that will be in place for the duration of the project.
The solid orange line indicates the alternate route that will be open the duration of the project.
The blue line indicates the portion of TH 282 from Creek Lane to Mertens Street that will be closed from April 1 through April 28th. On April 29th it will reopen. After April 29th, local traffic can use the alternate routes indicated by the dashed orange lines.
The intersection of TH 282 and TH 21 will become a 3 way stop on April 13, 2009. It will be open to traffic travelling north, south or east from the intersection. Although the intersection will be open to traffic during the construction, delays are expected at rush hour times.
The completion date for the project is August 28, 2009.
