TH 282 – Street & Utility Reconstruction

Jordan, MN

Important Information

  • Property Owners have one final chance to turn in their right-of-entry forms
    by March 27, 2009.

  • If you have an underground sprinkler system or a invisible dog fence or property corners that are close to the right-of-way, please inform Roger Ness at 612-845-8093 so that he is aware of these facilities and can work with the contractor to protect them.

  • Property Owners have the option to sign an agreement and have the City’s contractor replace their water line from the shutoff at the property line into their home for an additional $1,415.  This is especially beneficial if your existing service is  constricted or constructed of lead pipe.

  • If you are unsure if you have a lead service or not, please contact Public Works Director Dave Bendzick and he will come to your home and look at the pipe where it enters your home and can likely determine what material the pipe is.

  • Chard Tiling of Belle Plaine is the contractor for this project.  They will provide property owners with quotes to complete private work if property owners are interested.  They have provided a rough estimate of costs around $5 per square foot to remove and replace 4” thick concrete sidewalk, and $45 per square yard to remove and replace 6” thick concrete driveway. These costs are just to give property owners an idea of about how much these items could cost. Actual quotes will be provided to homeowners on a case by case basis.  This work would be completed outside of the City contract, and would require a deposit up front to Chard Tiling.
