TH 282 – Street & Utility Reconstruction
Project Summary
The City of Jordan will conduct street and utility improvements including sanitary sewer, watermain, storm sewer, street reconstruction and associated boulevard restoration along TH 282 (also known as 2nd Street) from Creek Lane to Mill Street. Also, storm sewer will be extended north of TH 282 into the alleys to alleviate existing drainage problems. In addition, portions of West, Wood and Varner Street will have watermain added to replace long services.
Improvements along TH 282 include:
- Replacement of the sanitary sewer main
- Replacement of watermain, valves and hydrants
- Replacement of sanitary sewer and water service lines to the property line
- Replacement of storm sewer pipe and catch basins
- Bituminous street removal and reconstruction
- Reconstruction of concrete curb and gutter
- Sidewalk and pedestrian ramp replacement
- Turf restoration in all areas of construction
Improvements at the intersection of TH 282 and TH 21 include:
- Removal of the concrete pavement in the middle of the intersection
- Replacement of the outdated signal system
- Sidewalk and pedestrian ramp replacement
- Bituminous street removal and replacement
- The addition of a left turn lane for eastbound TH 282
