Project Summary

The City of Northfield will conduct street and utility improvements including watermain, storm sewer, sanitary sewer, street reconstruction, and associated boulevard restoration along 5th Street from Washington Street to Prairie Street.  In addition, portions of Oak Street, Union Street and Winona Street will be added from the initial scope of work because of the location of their existing services, and the proximity to the initial project.

Specifically the project involves:

• Bituminous street removal and reconstruction;
• Reconstruction of concrete curb and gutter;
• Replacement of storm sewer pipe and catch basins;
• Replacement of watermain, valves and hydrants;
• Sanitary sewer and water service replacement to the property line;
• Sidewalk and pedestrian ramp replacement;
• Turf restoration in all areas of construction.
