Brauer & Associates, Ltd has developed the City’s Parks, Open Space, and Trail System Plan. The map outlines existing and planned improvements.
Section 4 of this Plan identifies a variety of trails, bikeways, and sidewalks based on a particular purpose in meeting local trail needs. The following tables and figures provide an overview of the classifications for trails in Northfield, the expectations of the most common types of trails in Northfield, and the values and preferences that are likely to be of most importance, and a comparative analysis of each of the trail classifications relative to the values and preferences of the various user groups.
