Plan Overview

The City of Northfield is finalizing its Comprehensive Plan.  This visioning document will be used by elected and appointed officials to guide development and land use decisions.  Dovetailing with this effort is the work that has begun to update the Transportation chapter of the Comprehensive Plan.  When updated, this plan chapter will set a vision for the existing and future motorized and non–motorized transportation system. 

The Transportation Plan chapter will include information about existing conditions, problems, and opportunities, as well as assess future motorized and non–motorized mobility needs based on the land use vision established in the Comprehensive Plan.  The plan chapter will provide the basis for guiding transportation decisions and include recommendations for short and mid–long term implementation strategies.
