Hennepin County 61 Reconstruction

This project is a 1.9 mile reconstruction and expansion of County Road 61 from Bass Lake Road to I-94/694, through the cities of Plymouth and Maple Grove. Hennepin County selected Bolton & Menk, Inc. to develop preliminary and final plans for this project, which is funded in part by the Federal TEA-21/STP program.

Bolton & Menk's responsibilities included public involvement, data collection and surveys, a project path report, preliminary plan development, a project study report, pavement and foundation design, drainage design and coordination, final design, (including the design of 5 traffic signal systems with traffic optimization control and emergency vehicle pre-emption features), construction plans and contract documents.

All design work and construction plans were prepared utilizing Hennepin County's GPS coordinates and are in metric.
