Martin C. Menk, Jr. passed away on March 24th, 2016.

In 1949 Martin founded Bolton & Menk, Civil Engineers & Land Surveyors, with his friend and former professor, John Bolton. John and Martin established Bolton & Menk believing in and living the values of employee excellence and client satisfaction. Today, we continue to conduct business from these same values.

Martin became president in 1965. He retired as president in 1986 and became Chairman of the Board. Martin retired from the firm in 1992. Martin served with distinction in many professional associations and boards, both at the state and national levels, including: MN Land Surveyors Association, MN Society of Professional Engineers, City Engineers Association of MN, National Society of Professional Engineers, National Society of Professional Surveyors, and the American Congress on Surveying and Mapping. We thank him for his contributions to our field and for building this great company. He has left a lasting legacy.
