Dan leads Bolton & Menk's natural resources team. Under Dan’s leadership, the natural resources team has expanded beyond an initial aquatic resource focus to conducting threatened and endangered species surveys, developing biological assessments, conducting tree surveys, developing tree management plans, and working on the regulatory side of WCA as the Local Government Unit. Dan began his natural resources career in 2005 and is responsible for coordinating with state and federal agencies to work through difficult aquatic resource delineations and permitting. He has conducted hundreds of aquatic resource delineations, GPS surveys, and MnRAM analyses. He has successfully completed Wetland Conservation Act (WCA), Minnesota Department of Natural Resources, and U.S. Army Corps of Engineers permitting processes related to type and boundary applications, replacement plans, de minimis applications, exemption applications, no loss applications, and banking plans. In his free time, Dan enjoys being with his family (working from home allows him the perfect work/life balance he needs), camping, traveling, and coaching his daughter's soccer team.
