City of Carlos, Minnesota
The City of Carlos’ existing water treatment facility was past its life expectancy and not removing iron and manganese to the secondary standards. Bolton & Menk was retained to design, bid, and manage construction of a new 125 gpm packaged water filter plant to remove iron and manganese below secondary standards. The city now has a new and cost-effective water treatment facility that will serve the city for the next 20-plus years. The treatment facility provides a safe and palatable water that removes iron and manganese below EPA secondary standards.
