The Spectrum Center is uniquely located on a 9-acre parcel, two blocks from center city, and adjacent to the Charlotte Area Transit System's light rail station.

The Spectrum Center is uniquely located on a 9-acre parcel, two blocks from center city, and adjacent to the Charlotte Area Transit System's light rail station. The building is 780,000 SF with seating for up to 20,000 people. Bolton & Menk was responsible for the landscaping and streetscape along Trade and Fifth Streets as well as the plaza area. The design included plant material, sidewalk paving design, hardscape, and site furnishings. Civil engineering services included grading, drainage, erosion control, and utility service connections. We worked in coordination with other consultants on pedestrian and traffic circulation, irrigation, site lighting, artwork, rail integration, security, arena architecture, MEP and structural issues, and on the Fifth Street relocation.
