On Ramps Project

Gaps existed between regional trails operated by Three Rivers Park District and local trail and sidewalk systems in five communities. Each project within each community presented its own opportunities for this federally-funded project. The following projects were completed:

  • Bloomington: 0.73 miles of 10-foot-wide off-road trail along Old Cedar Avenue

  • Brooklyn Park: 0.75 miles of 10-foot-wide off-road trails and on-road bike lanes along 63rd Avenue

  • Plymouth: 0.40 miles of 10-foot-wide off-road trail along Fernbrook Lane

  • Richfield: 2 miles of on-road bike lanes along 70th Street

  • Wayzata: 0.75 miles of Share the Road signage and striping along Ferndale Road

Residents of each of these communities now have direct access to regional trails that pass through their communities.
