A two-tiered retaining wall system along CSAH 38 and adjacent to two residential properties was rapidly deteriorating. The wall had a history of localized failures and significant environmental wear.

Bolton & Menk worked with Dakota County to design and construct a new retaining wall. An aesthetically pleasing large block wall was the chosen style. It is a durable and economic choice that will serve the county and adjacent property owners well in the future.

Residents were eager to see the old wall replaced. The new one-tier wall with fencing lessens their maintenance responsibilities and is less hazardous than the previous wall.
