"Bolton & Menk has always had the best interest of the city in mind as they go through the project process." Butch Niebuhr , Former City Administrator
City of Perry, Iowa
Iowa DOT grant funds were used to design and construct a new 100-foot by 50-foot hangar with two separate 50-square-foot hangar bays at the Perry Municipal Airport. Bolton & Menk worked with the airport to determine optimal types of aircraft to be housed in the new hangar based on existing and planned tenants.
We determined the hangar size by weighing the potential aircraft types against the building cost of different sized hangars. The hangar allows small corporate aircraft and general aviation aircraft. This design approach, along with other innovative features such as LED lighting, allowed the new hangar to stand out from the conventional hangars at the airport.
