Matt Ferrier was recognized by the Asphalt Paving Association of Iowa as the 2019 Consulting Engineer of the Year at the 64th Annual APAI Convention on Thursday, December 5. The award recognizes individuals who have shown exemplary knowledge of asphalt in both design and construction of asphalt pavements.

National Engineering Society Installs New President
ALEXANDRIA, VA (July 24, 2019) – The National Society of Professional Engineers installed David Martini, P.E., F.NSPE, as its 2019-2020 president at the Society’s annual Professional Engineers Conference in Kansas City on July 20, 2019.
On March 5, 2019 at the Iowa Section of the American Society of Agricultural and Biological Engineers Spring Meeting in Waterloo, Iowa, Jon Rosengren was named the 2019 recipient of the Young Engineer of the Year Award. Jon was recognized for his work with drainage districts and water quality wetlands.

Having a good mentorship program is like having a good sandwich. It can seem kind of cheesy, and at first might have too many layers, but once you really get into the meat of it, mentorship can be a filling, energizing and even flavorful experience. Bolton & Menk's mentorship program provides an opportunity for mentors and mentees at all levels of the organization to develop a professional relationship intended to benefit both parties. Bolton & Menk participated in the annual Engineering CEOs of Minnesota (ECEOM) food drive with engineering firms throughout the state. Food, clothing, books, and funds were raised for local food shelves, along with time spent volunteering for these causes.
Our staff took some time to help pack food for the Feed my Starving Children and BackPack Food programs. In addition, Bolton & Menk employees donated a total of $39,513 to area food shelves.
Collectively, engineering firms throughout Minnesota raised a total of $287,311 through the ECEOM food drive.
Jason Buboltz was named the recipient of the 2018 Founders Award at the Bolton & Menk Annual Party on November 17, 2018. Jason is a Senior Civil Engineer Technician in our Ramsey Work Group.
The Willmar Lakes Area Chamber of Commerce honored principal engineer, Jared Voge, with the 2017 Emerging Young Leader Award at their annual meeting on Thursday. Jared started as an intern in 2001 at Bolton & Menk in Sleepy Eye and now works at the Willmar location. As a project manager, Jared manages projects requiring extensive coordination efforts, successfully meets aggressive project schedule requirements, and manages project-related public relations and community involvement efforts.
