The final master plan identifies prioritized improvements to the park facilities, providing a clear direction and approach to how the county's recreational infrastructure will evolve and continue to be a vital asset.
After seeking regional designation, and to secure funding for improvements, Morrison County needed to create a master planning document for Belle Prairie County Park. The master plan needed to identify potential improvements and implementation phasing in accordance with current recreation trends and community values.
Bolton & Menk provided a master plan document that addressed both short-term needs and long-term vision for the community park. Through existing mapping, aerial photography, GIS data, and analysis of the current park facilities and amenities, we were able to inventory and map all park system features. This provided a basis for the assessment of current and future park needs. Working with the community through several task force meetings and an online survey identified the local values which, in addition to the collected data and mapping, helped shape the plan recommendations.
