Building Community Trust through Advisory Groups and Outreach Liaisons
When communities face transportation studies, especially in corridors with high concentrations of Environmental Justice populations,
Blue is a community outreach liaison who began his career in community engagement in 2015. He is responsible for building and expanding relationships with clients, communities, and community-based organizations. Based in our Grand Forks location, Blue works closely with city leadership and community partners to develop inclusive, locally driven solutions—most recently leading the engagement efforts for the Safe Streets and Roads for All (SS4A) Safety Action Plan. He is an expert in growing businesses and engaging stakeholders, ensuring community success through his grassroots approach. His passion for community building stems from the impact his projects have on the people he serves. In his free time, Blue enjoys all kinds of outdoor adventures—from bikepacking and kayaking to backcountry camping. He also loves to spend time with his wife and two dogs, working on their historic house, and exploring the North Dakota and Minnesota wilderness.
