Jennifer McCoy Named WTS-IA Woman of the Year
Congratulations to Jennifer McCoy, who has been named the 2021 Women in Transportation Seminar (WTS) Iowa Chapter’s Woman of the Year. This award honors a woman who is an outstanding role model in transportation.
The mission of WTS is “transforming the transportation industry through the advancement of women.” Jennifer has embodied this motto throughout her twenty-year career. Her high level of motivation and strong organization and interpersonal skills allow her to serve as a strong leader in the transportation industry. As a senior traffic engineer at Bolton & Menk, Inc., she specializes in leading the conversation with innovative solutions to meet the engineering needs and business objectives of a fast-growing metropolitan region. Her proven project management and engineering expertise result in delivering high-quality solutions. Jennifer’s ability to communicate complex information in a straight-forward and entertaining manner highlights her capability to be a team player and resolve problems.
Jennifer has also participated in a variety of professional societies, mentoring students and young staff, and presenting on the local and national stage on a variety of transportation topics. She doesn’t just belong to organizations but often serves in them as an officer or committee lead. She has a strong professional presence and passion for volunteering in the community and giving back.
