Malecha Receives APWA Emerging Leaders Academy Award
Jason Malecha from our Burnsville, Minnesota location received recognition from the American Public Works Association for his active participation in the APWA Emerging Leaders Academy. The APWA Emerging Leaders Academy is a year-long national program that provides leadership and management training within the context of the public works field. It includes monthly virtual meetings and homework assignments, as well as completion of a group project. The program fosters professional growth through networking and offers an in-depth introduction to APWA at the national level.
“Participating in the APWA Emerging Leaders Academy was extremely rewarding, both professionally and personally, for many reasons. I gained leadership and management skills directly pertaining to the field of public works and made great connections with the instructors and individuals participating in the program from all over the United States and Canada. Thank you to the APWA MN Chapter leadership for sponsoring my participation in the program,” Malecha said.
