Alan is a municipal practice leader at Bolton & Menk, providing city engineering services to communities within the Iron Range and beyond. He has worked on several municipal reconstruction projects, housing developments, business parks, and economic development projects throughout northeastern Minnesota. Alan began his engineering career in 2007. Prior to the merger of Benchmark Engineering and Bolton & Menk in 2025, Alan served as president of Benchmark Engineering from 2017 to 2024. Alan has a track record of providing right-sized solutions for communities and assists in securing the funds to help take projects from conception through construction. In 2022, Governor Tim Walz appointed Alan to the Minnesota Board of Architecture, Engineering, Land Surveying, Landscape Architecture, Geoscience and Interior Design. Outside of work, Alan enjoys watching baseball, football, and basketball, as well as spending time outdoors hunting, fishing, and camping.
