Christianson Named in Prairie Business Magazine 40 Under 40
Cody Christianson, PE, ENV SP, Transportation Engineering Project Manager and Senior Associate at Bolton & Menk, has been honored as one of Prairie Business Magazine’s 2024 40 Under 40 award winners! This recognition celebrates Cody’s exceptional contributions to our industry and his dedication to communities.
Cody is highly praised by his colleagues for his dedication and enthusiasm for active transportation. His ability to predict and address potential challenges ensures smoother project execution and improved outcomes for the communities he services. His contributions have notably impacted Eastern North Dakota, especially through the Grand Forks-East Grand Forks MPO Pedestrian and Bicycle Master Plan, which earned the American Council of Engineering Companies North Dakota Chapter’s Project of the Year award in 2024. Additionally, he has worked with Fargo-Moorhead Metro COG on significant projects aimed at enhancing pedestrian and bicycle infrastructure.
Cody is also actively involved in various industry organizations, such as the American Public Works Association and the American Society of Civil Engineers. He was recently elected to the Board of Directors for the Association of Pedestrian & Bicycle Professionals (APBP), where he serves on the national planning committee.

About Cody:
After living and working around the country from Anchorage, AK to Boulder, CO to Minneapolis, MN, he resides back in his hometown of Fargo, ND. Cody has a passion for providing active modes of transportation, so he established and now leads the Active Transportation Services group at Bolton & Menk. His national bicycle and pedestrian design expertise helps build support for improved multimodal infrastructure. By harnessing his experience, listening to community input, and coordinating with project stakeholders, he creates accessible designs that are feasible and implementable, easy to navigate, and improves the region’s transportation system for those who walk, bike, or roll. When not at work, you can find Cody enjoying the trails of Eastern ND and Northern MN with his wife and two kids or watching a game of English Football with friends and family.
