Rochester Public Utilities (RPU) completed an elevated storage tank rehabilitation on the Baihly Street Tower. The rehabilitation included a tower roof structure that housed multiple telecommunication carriers’ equipment. Due to new protective coatings, reinstallation of the telecommunications equipment required close monitoring to ensure the new coatings remained intact.
Following the protocol of RPU, Bolton & Menk reviewed construction drawings, made the necessary recommendations, and observed installations. Final installation observations were provided, which included work that needed to be performed by the contractor. Additionally, necessary coating repairs were closely monitored to assure satisfactory application procedures.
Concluding all final observations, necessary services were provided for RPU to successfully keep their tower in the same new condition after the rehabilitation.
