Proper reinstallation of the telecommunications equipment was an essential variable to ensure the new protective coatings were maintained.
Rochester Public Utilities (RPU) completed an elevated storage tank rehabilitation on the Baihly Street tower. The rehabilitation included construction of a tower roof structure to support multiple telecommunication carriers' equipment. Due to new protective coatings, reinstallation of the telecommunications equipment required close monitoring to ensure the new coatings remained intact. Following RPU protocol, Bolton & Menk reviewed construction drawings, made the necessary recommendations, and observed installations. Final installation observations were provided, which included work performed by the contractor. Additionally, necessary coating repairs were closely monitored to ensure satisfactory application procedures.
