Over the last two decades, John has worked on Complete Streets projects with regional and local agencies, non-profit organizations, and numerous communities in more than a dozen states. John has special expertise in the areas of planning and design for vulnerable users, land use and transportation integration, Complete Streets design, systemic safety and Vision Zero planning, project management, project funding, and group facilitation. He has participated in planning for complete street design, Safe Routes to School (SRTS), Vision Zero, and systemic safety projects at the intersection, network and corridor level in regions, major metros, suburban areas, small towns, and rural areas throughout the North Carolina. John has also served as consultant to dozens of MPOs, local, regional, and state governments on multimodal policy, design guidance, and complete streets policy and implementation. John serves on the Charlotte Area Transit’s Public Transportation Advisory Committee and devotes time to other community and faith organization groups and is a father to four amazing teens and young adults.
