As an urban infill practice leader for Midwest urban design, Sam uses his broad knowledge and extensive design understanding to find solutions for complex projects that blend function and aesthetics. Sam began his landscape architecture career in 2005 and has proven himself at every turn, excelling on multidisciplinary teams as both a designer and project manager. His experience includes sustainable urban design, multimodal design, public art incorporation, site development, and construction observation/administration. Sam’s passion for landscape architecture is exemplified through building strong relationships with clients and engaging with city staff and the public during the design process—he’s a Real People person. Sam comes from a long line of hard-working farmers, which he says has engrained the strong work ethic that he uses to guide his professional career development.
