Sectors

The City of Marshall has used Bolton & Menk as their trusted wastewater consultant for 20 years. Throughout that time, we have studied and developed many projects for the city’s wastewater treatment facility. In addition, we have assisted with NPDES permitting, effluent toxicity testing, and development of wastewater rates.

Bolton & Menk completed a facility plan for the city in 2017. The first phase of construction recommended as part of that plan was implemented in 2019-2021. This significant design upgrade for the wastewater treatment facility consisted of upgrading the aeration system blowers with a demand-based control system, construction of an additional final clarifier, and biosolids handling upgrades including storage, pumping, gravity thickening, and mixing to help the city more cost effectively manage their biosolids program. Also, with this project the facility motor control centers and supervisory control and data acquisition (SCADA) system was upgraded. The City of Marshall produces a Class A biosolids from their ATAD treatment system, also designed by Bolton & Menk. Our team is currently assisting the city with lift station upgrades and ongoing operational and permitting issues.
