Community Compass: Clear Creek Stream Mitigation

Community Compass explores Bolton & Menk’s transformative projects shaping the places we live, work, and play. Our second episode takes us to Iowa to experience the restoration of Clear Creek — from unstable banks and a straightened channel to a re-meandered stream designed to slow water, reduce erosion, improve water quality, and create habitat. This episode follows the “why” behind the project, the opportunity that made it possible through stream mitigation banking, and the long-term vision: monitoring, maintenance, and credit sales that can help fund future phases so the community can continue restoring Clear Creek over time.
