Grant is an urban design group leader at Bolton & Menk who began his career in 1992. Prior to joining Bolton & Menk in 2021, Grant worked in public service as an assistant planning director managing the Urban Design and Preservation Division for the City of Charlotte and the Urban Design Center for the City of Raleigh. As a Bolton & Menk landscape architect practice area leader, he has experience with a wide variety of plans and design projects in both the public and private sector. This experience allows him to balance both the practical and aspirational elements needed to develop plans and design strategies for redevelopment that lead to implementable actions and transformative change. His career has focused on designing projects that create vibrant places, enhance people’s quality of life, and foster stronger communities. In his free time, Grant enjoys riding vintage steel frame bikes long distances, tinkering on vintage cars, and hanging out at the beach.
