The state-of-the-art facility features a hospital, medical office building, parking deck, and thoughtfully designed green spaces to enhance patient and visitor experience.
CaroMont Health’s new medical campus features a 250,000-square-foot, 66-bed hospital, a 100,000-square-foot medical office building, and a 1,000-space parking deck. Bolton & Menk provided master planning, rezoning, civil engineering, and landscape architecture design services for the project. We collaborated with the architect to master plan the medical campus with a focus on pedestrian and vehicular circulation and creating a walkable campus with a tree lined parkway along an existing creek. The design features a large “green”, where patients, visitors, and employees have a place of respite while visiting the campus. The site also required approximately half a mile of public water and sewer extensions. Off-site work included a new public road into the site as well as an on-ramp to I-85. We permitted the site six months ahead of building permitting which allowed the general contractor to begin work early. Working closely with the City of Belmont, the site was permitted after only two submittals.
