Home / Industrial Park Road and Highway 175 Improvements, City of Ellsworth, Iowa
Our design aligned the industrial road with a new access to an existing gas station and provided access to the new truck stop.
The City of Ellsworth needed improvements to Industrial Park Road to improve access and traffic flow, while facilitating the relocation of one business and the expansion of another. Additional concerns for the area included the construction of a new truck stop along the proposed route, planned reconfiguration of the interstate to a full diamond interchange, and access control along the highway.
Bolton & Menk worked with the City of Ellsworth, Iowa Department of Transportation, local businesses, and developers and engineers for the new truck stop. We designed road improvements that addressed the concerns of all stakeholders.
The project included drainage ditch relocation, accommodations for the diamond interchange and truck stop construction, and direct access to the highway for the industrial park businesses. Our design aligned the industrial road with a new access to an existing gas station and provided access to the new truck stop. This alignment provides better traffic flow and maintains access control along the highway.
