Water Resources Group Leader | Principal

Water Resources

Growing up in Minnesota—the land of 10,000 lakes—Tim discovered a passion for protecting the natural resources that shaped his home state. That passion led him to a career in water resources engineering, where he found a like-minded team at Bolton & Menk. Since 2006, Tim has led the design and construction of complex, environmentally sensitive projects across the Minneapolis area, greater Minnesota, and beyond. As a water resources group leader, Tim specializes in comprehensive surface water management planning, innovative best management practice design, hydrologic and hydraulic modeling, drainage design and construction plan review, and NPDES Phase I & II MS4 and construction stormwater permitting requirements. He couples GIS techniques with water resources design and analysis. Tim takes pride in collaborating with communities and organizations to create sustainable solutions that protect water quality and support long-term environmental health. Outside of work, Tim enjoys brewing beer—a hobby he describes as “perfect for an engineer that likes science.”
