CR 45 serves as an important parallel route to TH 169 between the Cities of Zimmerman and Princeton. The roadway also serves a growing area west of TH 169 and an industrial park southwest of TH 169 in Princeton. CR 45 is a key route for freight and commercial traffic to access TH 169. 125th Street is an important connection for businesses along TH 169. Sherburne County recognized a need for improvements to the CR 45 at 125th Street intersection.
The project included preliminary and final design and roundabout and trail plans; coordination with Princeton Public Utilities for watermain work; construction staging; detour routes for commercial/freight, business access, and mainline TH 169 traffic; temporarily relocating a park and ride lot; an open house; coordination with Princeton Public Schools to avoid impacts to bus routes; and outreach to commercial and industrial operations about truck routing.
Bolton & Menk completed preliminary and final design plans, special provisions, federal aid DCP, and MnDOT state/federal aid review. We also completed the ICE report, provided support for the Project Memorandum, and completed the project manual.
