Bolton & Menk's full spectrum of design services are being used by the City of Myrtle Beach's Downtown Redevelopment Corporation in their ongoing streetscape improvements of Ocean Boulevard, as well as for several gateway streets leading to the beach. Ultimately, Ocean Boulevard, from 6th Avenue South to 16th Avenue North, will be renovated, with new asphalt pavement, concrete sidewalks, curb and gutter, street trees, site furnishings, decorative street lighting, storm sewers, upgraded utility lines, and overhead utilities converted to underground. Construction has been completed on Mr. Joe White Avenue, North Ocean Boulevard from 9th Avenue North to 19th Avenue North, and South Ocean Boulevard from Withers Swash to 2nd Avenue North. Additionally, we assisted the city in designing and constructing Plyler Park, an integrated beachfront park at the end of Mr. Joe White Avenue. The most recent phase of the North Ocean Boulevard Streetscape Project, 2nd Avenue North to 9th Avenue North, was recently completed.
