GeoCV™ (Catalogued Video) is a web-based application developed by Bolton & Menk that integrates high-resolution video from geospatial-enabled cameras with a digital map. This innovative technology combines UAV flights, videos, and geospatial locations into one application, allowing users to access videos from anywhere via a web-based cloud location.
How It Works: GeoCV™ uses a UAS pre-determined flight path to capture videos linked to a virtual map. Geographic locations of the flight plan are extracted and synchronized with the video timestamps, making video segments easy to locate. The video capture technology includes dash cam footage for street views and drone footage for aerial perspectives.
3D Capabilities: Drones can follow a flight path to create a 3D visual of the area, which is useful for monitoring exteriors of facilities, buildings, or stockpiles. The footage can be shared via a web application, allowing clients to view a 3D geospatial location in correlation with the video.
