GeoCP™ 360, developed by Bolton & Menk, is a web application designed to record interactive photos of aboveground and underground structures. This tool helps communities manage assets by providing a snapshot in time to observe and react to asset conditions.
Benefits:
- Cost-effective and easy solution for recording visual data.
- Mitigates and prevents potential structural issues.
- Assists in winter design work by allowing staff to reference 360-degree summer snapshots.
- Provides visual representations of previously recorded GIS
How It Works: GeoCP™ 360 uses specialized 360-degree cameras to produce interactive photos of infrastructure areas. It is commonly used on roads and underground structures to identify improvement areas. The tool creates a street view of roads and captures underground structure components. The images are accessible via an intuitive interactive application with an inset map for spatial reference. Staff and clients can view infrastructure and receive immediate feedback using any device.
GeoCP™ 360 in Action: An example of GeoCP™ 360’s effectiveness is its use in preventing further structural issues in an underground structure. A 360-camera captured a visual record of the area, allowing the engineering team to identify and address a blockage. This proactive approach helped in understanding the problem and devising a solution promptly. By using the interactive photos, the team could zoom in on specific areas and analyze the condition of the structure in detail, ensuring a comprehensive assessment.
Additional Features:
- Interactive Application: The application is user-friendly and allows for easy navigation and interaction with the photos.
- Spatial Reference: The inset map provides a spatial reference, making it easier to locate and analyze specific areas.
- Immediate Feedback: Users can receive immediate feedback on the infrastructure conditions, facilitating quicker decision-making.
