Officials from South Central College, the SCC North Mankato Campus Foundation, and Bolton & Menk today announced the local company’s generous contribution to support a future lab at the college’s North Mankato Campus.

The Bolton & Menk Infrastructure Solutions Lab will provide a high-tech learning environment for students in various programs, including Civil Engineering Technology, Geographic Information Systems (GIS) and Architectural Drafting and Design.

“From buildings to highways, our students in these and other programs will make a significant impact on the infrastructure of our region. We are grateful that they’ll be able to hone their skills in this new lab environment, thanks to the generosity of Bolton & Menk working in partnership with the SCC North Mankato Campus Foundation,” said South Central College President Annette Parker.

“Bolton & Menk has been a tremendous supporter of SCC and SCC North Mankato Campus Foundation through the years,” said Erin Aanenson, Executive Director of SCC North Mankato Campus Foundation.  “Their generous contributions include monetary and in-kind support, scholarship funding, employee service on the foundation’s board of directors and committees, and much more.  Our partnership with Bolton & Menk is invaluable.”

Next steps for the lab include determining an appropriate location on the campus and working with faculty to plan the best possible space for students to learn. Construction is expected to begin in 2025 and be completed in 2026.
