Hopkins – 2017 Street & Utility Improvements Hopkins Project Status, Schedule & Updates

The final interest rate for the Special Assessments has been determined. Payments can be made with interest until November 29, 2017 before going on property taxes. The interest rate is 4.47789%. Questions regarding special assessments can be directed to the special assessment clerk, Mary Lein at 952-548-6310.

A phased construction schedule is proposed by Meyer Contracting as shown in the map on the project website. The following is an overview of the upcoming project schedule.

Week of November 6–

• The final layer of asphalt was installed on all of the streets this week.
• This work is expected to finish up today.
• The mill and overlay of 7th Ave S, 8th Ave S, 5th Street S, and 8th Street S has been completed.
• Trees continued to be planted throughout the rest of the neighborhood.

Week of November 13 –

• Permanent street signs will be installed throughout the neighborhood.
• Sod is scheduled to be placed on the rest of 9th Ave S (Phase 3A) and 10th Ave S (Phase 3C).
• Street striping will occur next week on some of the roads.
