In 1949 Martin founded Bolton & Menk, Civil Engineers & Land Surveyors, with his friend and former professor, John Bolton. John and Martin established Bolton & Menk believing in and living the values of employee excellence and client satisfaction. Today, we continue to conduct business from these same values.
This week we are celebrating National Surveyors Week! In 1949, John Bolton & Martin Menk, Jr. founded Bolton & Menk as a surveying business in St. Peter, MN, with little more than expertise, persistence, and an unwavering commitment to clients. Housing developments boomed after World War II and the firm was kept busy surveying parcels and planning subdivisions.
The Peter W. Blethen, L.S. Memorial Scholarship was established in memory of Peter Blethen. The scholarship is sponsored by the Minnesota Society of Professional Surveyors (MSPS) and funded through the Minnesota Land Surveyors Foundation (MLS).
We are excited to announce that MHF Engineering of Jefferson, Iowa has joined Bolton & Menk, Inc. As a consulting firm serving clients in west central Iowa, MHF has a long history in municipal and agricultural drainage engineering, along with land surveying.
