Tyson Foods constructed a phosphorus removal process at its pork processing plant in Storm Lake, Iowa as required by the Iowa Nutrient Reduction Strategy. Bolton & Menk designed a process that removed phosphorus from the treatment facility clarifier effluent that produces high phosphorus content and dry solids material for economical and high-value land application.
